Culinary tours to Italy

Discover the culinary highlights of Italy with feast

Culinary Italy

Italy is a boot-shaped peninsula that juts out from the Alps along the Apennines into the Mediterranean Sea. It is the tenth-largest country by land area in the European continent covering an area of 301,340 km2 (116,350 sq mi), and the third-most populous member state of the European Union with a population of nearly 60 million. Its capital and largest city is Rome.

Italian cuisine is a journey through flavors and culinary traditions.

With a wide variety of traditional dishes, the culinary art of the Bel Paese knows how to masterfully blend genuine Italian ingredients, resulting in gastronomic masterpieces that win over palates in every corner of the world.

But it's not just about food: Italian food and wine culture is a fascinating blend of history, passion, and a deep love for the art of good eating.

Italian cuisine, far more than a mere collection of recipes, is a sublime art. It is a sensory journey through the different regions of Italy, each of which boasts its own unique specialties and food products. From the pesto Genovese typical of Liguria, to the Lasagna typical of the regional cuisine of Emilia, the Carbonara in Rome, the Arancini in Sicily each dish tells a story.

Best travel season

The best times to travel in Italy are spring and fall: in summer the Center and South are affected by a few weeks of mugginess, and winter can be very cold in the North, particularly in the Alps.

During August, the historic centers of art cities are usually very crowded. We therefore advise you to favor the mid-seasons if you want to visit them with more peace of mind.

We have already chosen the best seasons for your culinary adventures based on the regions to discover and the activities.
